Pride and Resilience

Montserrat has known its shares of disasters. Hurricane Hugo flattened it and it rose from the ashes and then along came the volcano. I must add that 90-97% of the population is God fearing and practise Christianity. The population learned a new vocabulary. They could explain terms such as pyroclastic flows,mud flows, seismicity, ash falls and ash clouds. With the occurence of many ash clouds this means cleaning the house otherwise you'll be eating ash for days,shovelling the ash and washing away the ash. For certain these were no 'sky blue days.'
Something had to be done and fast. The powers there be ordered an immediate evacuation off island, sadly only six persons filled the Battleship ship at port Little bay. A lesson learned here do not apply force leave every man to their own accord.
