Today I am continuing from my volcano experience.
The early awakening of the volcano occurred mostly in the South of the island. Therefore people in the North had not a clue of what was going on. A slight ash fall at dusk caused the residents to panic. Those with disable relatives deposited them at the Glendon Hospital in the capital and HEADED towards the north. The traffic heading north was an exodus. The people in the north were so loving and kind they opened their homes and hearts to thier brethren.(a practice for generations). The strains and emotions were too much to bear after years of repetition another exodus occured to the outside world.
