Discover how to cook

Many people have seen the green banana but find it difficult to peel as oppose to cook. A fine hand of green banana always complement a good bowl of fish broth.
First in order to aid peeling place you banana in a bowl of hot water leaving for a few minutes peeling is much easier and the banana does not break up also it feels more user friendly. Some people would rub the banana with lime or lime juice to prevent them from turning dark. The solution is this:In the pot add onions and some oil and salt (optional),allow water to boil then add bananas. Allow to cook, bananas will be soft clear and tasty. To serve cut in half and place on plate or bowl.

Pride and Resilience

Montserrat has known its shares of disasters. Hurricane Hugo flattened it and it rose from the ashes and then along came the volcano. I must add that 90-97% of the population is God fearing and practise Christianity. The population learned a new vocabulary. They could explain terms such as pyroclastic flows, mud flows, seismicity, ash falls and ash clouds. With the occurence of many ash clouds this means cleaning the house otherwise you'll be eating ash for days, shovelling the ash and washing away the ash. For certain these were no 'sky blue days.'
Something had to be done and fast. The powers there be ordered an immediate evacuation off island, sadly only six persons filled the Battleship ship at port Little bay. A lesson learned here do not apply force leave every man to their own accord.

Today I am continuing from my volcano experience.
The early awakening of the volcano occurred mostly in the South of the island. Therefore people in the North had not a clue of what was going on. A slight ash fall at dusk caused the residents to panic. Those with disable relatives deposited them at the Glendon Hospital in the capital and HEADED towards the north. The traffic heading north was an exodus. The people in the north were so loving and kind they opened their homes and hearts to thier brethren.(a practice for generations). The strains and emotions were too much to bear after years of repetition another exodus occured to the outside world.

My first ash cloud that I had experienced gave me an insight to query is this Judgement? This is how I can describe it. Darkness, a total dungeon even electric lights are obliterated. Lack of oxygen one is not aware of it but the fright and flight hormones are racing. There is an intense heat and last fear of the unknown.
It is at this point most prayers are quickly recited.

A creative menace

Imagine witnessing land been transformed before your eyes. Yes a huge piece of land that was never there. That is the case of the Caribbean island of Montserrat. However nothing comes easy.
These people practiced optimism and resillience in the face of an active volcano.
Everyone knew there were sulphur hot springs on the island a result of three dormant volcanoes which in your lifetime would never come alive. But yet they were wrong. It started with frequent earthquakes, to the residents no big deal. Then one day there was a droning sound echoing around the capital Plymouth it sounded like a jumbo jet getting ready to land but never landed. This was investigated and next day the seismic center in Trinidad notified the Montserrat goverment that it was the volcano coming alive. In other words 'the mountain was groaning'. Here is where all pandemonium broke loose.
